Set for a prime pre-holiday launch date next week of October 14th, the Food Network Magazine will make it's debut.
While early
reviews of the publication have been mixed, I have a feeling foodie fans of the big stars on FN may surprise the market weary media and pick up copies of the magazine quite briskly. With all the crazy news out there, the Food Network has always been a stress relieving refuge where the party is always on, and the bubbly is always flowing. And with a public that is hungry for celebrity lifestyle insight, this magazine may be just the right intersection of glitz and everyday utility.
The first issue has a run of 300,000 planned, with the second issue due out in January.
The magazine is about 160 pages, about 100 of which are editorial. Food Network says these will be “pages of accessible recipes and tips, as well as unprecedented access to America’s favorite Food Network stars.” Sounds delicious!
Maile Carpenter is the Editor in Chief.
