Philidelphia Inquirer has our Orbit

Phili The Philadelphia Inquirer included our client Orbit Baby in a clever layout about getting outside.

The large display ran in this weekend's paper and had Orbit Baby's Infant System listed as a great way for getting the little one out of the house.

Writer Joy Cho, who's super delightful blog, Oh Joy (link on our blogroll) is one of our favorites, also picked out a cute dog carrier for a bicycle and a kid's croquet set among the other fun items.

Sunkist Naturals introduces the first authentic Alphonso Mango Smoothie to the US

Sunkist_mango American foodies dreamed about them for decades - the Alphonso Mangoes - the King of Fruits - the food of gods - authentic only to Maharashtra, India, where the trees have been lovingly cultivated for centuries - and the fruits are nursed through those unique 3 main seasons.  It's said that once you've tasted one, you'll sneer at the mangoes available in markets here.

So when Sunkist Naturals was formulating their mango smoothie recently and the news that true Indian mangoes would finally be available in the United States, they knew the mythic Alphonso had to be the primary ingredient in their blend.  They named it Golden Mango, after the unique bright yellow skin of the Alphonso.

Sunkist Naturals Golden Mango begins with authentic Indian Alphonso Mangoes which are blended with passion fruit, banana, apple, and orange juice to arrive at perfect tropical balance.

Loaded with potassium, omega-3's, fiber and a rich dose of antioxidants vitamins A & C, Golden Mango is as healthful as it is delicious.

Sunkist Naturals Golden Mango is available throughout the United States

Jessica Alba weds, gives Orbit Baby thumbs up in Fit Pregnancy interview

52004891carolynleber521200885306amJessica Alba and  Cash Warren wed on Monday, then slipped out last night for the Celebration of Mentoring event at the Beverly Hills Hotel where these first shots of the newlyweds were taken.

Jessica also is Cvr_jessica_alba_240x320featured on the cover of Fit Pregnancy's June/July issue

When asked about her favorite baby gear, she was quick to extol the virtues of our client Orbit Baby's Infant System

She told the magazine:

"Orbit is my favorite. It's a hybrid stroller that looks like half an egg. You can use it as a car seat and a stroller so you never have to take the baby out of it. Then when the baby gets bigger you can put a toddler seat in so it's really practical. It's also Eco-friendly so that's another nice thing; I've been trying to get a lot of Eco-friendly products".

Congratulations all around Jessica and Cash!

Lavilin recommended for gorgeous smelling feet

Red_shoes_2 If you have a shoe collection anything like Carrie Bradshaw's it may take some time to pick out the perfect pair every day.

One thing however that never goes with Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik or Christian Louboutin is foot odor.

So we were really thrilled when RunningWithHeels.com did an article about keeping feet fresh and fine, naturally.

As they write:

The cause of annoying odor is Lavilinfoot bacteria. Our feet are covered with sweat glands and when they’re cooped up inside shoes all day, those glands go to work. Dark and damp conditions inside our shoes are where bacteria and fungi like to make home sweet home, but surprisingly it’s not their presence that causes the odor. Yes, it gets grosser. The bacteria consume both the sweat and dead skin cells from our feet, and it’s their waste product that actually starts to smell.

RWH then goes on to recommend several eco friendly products/methods to help the situation.  Baking Soda, Tea Tree Oil, and our client Lavilin's Foot Deodorant were among these.

ShoeBlogger, another fabulous site, picked up the story as well and added their own spin.  Lavilin still made the cut, with a link to some user reviews from amazon.com.  Lavilin sells for $16 for about .5 oz.

Fragrance guide - sometimes the best scent is none at all

Chanel

In the beauty world one of the best parts of summer are the uplifting fragrances that get us thinking of warm breezes and white flowing skirts.

Scents with descriptions that make one feel as though they'll be transported to a tropical paradise with one spritz, such as with Michael Kors new Island Fiji (a full-blossom floral resplendent with sensuality amidst a sea of pristine Polynesian waters) can absolutely make you giddy.

We've listed a few of our favorites below - included in the collection are (1) Vera Wang's limited edition Princess; (2) Laura Mercier's Neroli; (3) Lavanila's Vanilla Coconut; (4) Incanto Heaven by Salvatore Ferragamo; and (5) Lucy B's Pink Fragapani.  Naturally we stand by Chanel #5 - the classic, shown left.

The theme with each of these is tropical, and vacation minded. We'd like to point out that nothing clashes with the perfect blend of grapefruit and vanilla more than the extraneous scent of deodorant or scented body lotion. To that end we recommend our client Lavilin's all natural deodorant which is made with Calendula, Chamomile, and Arnica to provide an ultra gentle yet effective protection.  It'll bring out the best of your favorite fragrance by smelling like nothing at all.

Carolyn Leber gives Healing Lifestyles & Spas Tip of the Day

Healing_lifestyles_and_spas

I'm probably the worst at tooting my own horn - I've become so accustomed to being a cheerleader for my clients and their carefully crafted brands.

But when the opportunity came to give a few tips gleaned from personal experience to Healing Lifestyles & Spas Magazine recently, I took it automatically.

In my work, I juggle a ridiculously varied set of tasks daily.  My company gets a lot of publicity hits and acceptance for our customers, but we also shoulder and cushion a good deal of rejection on their behalf, an element of PR that goes largely overlooked.

As a result, I've developed mechanisms to keep a great attitude and stay productive.  Here's a few that appeared in yesterday's HL&S newsletter:

Be More Efficient Each Day

We have been raised with the mantra that we can have and accomplish anything and everything--if we work hard enough. We, the "do everything" women of the 21st century, want to raise our own children, make a substantial financial contribution to the family, please our spouses, maintain our friendships, and simultaneously be happy ourselves. Impossible? Maybe. But we certainly persist. For most of us, this equation of life can be a little daunting, but once we figure out the formula that keeps the multi-layered machine of our lives cranking, life's a breeze. Well, sort of.

Carolyn Leber, director of CLPR, a public relations and event firm, has a to-do list that is seemingly never-ending, but despite the demands placed on her, she's managed to figure out a few simple ways to balance her day:

1. Make a list of tasks – It negates the stress of trying to remember everything (and ultimately forgetting something).

2. Prioritize according to deadline and payoff (Example: Even though image is important in PR, the payoff for getting a manicure really isn't up there with say writing and posting a press release or talking to an editor about a client's new product roll out).

3. Stay focused on one task at a time - having an array of skills is a gift, but multitasking is overrated. Simultaneously trying to do too many things tends to lead to mistakes and oversights. Maintaining focus on one thing cultivates creativity and widened possibilities.

4. Silence your inner critic.

Sarah Jessica's hat debuts in London

51936913carolynleber513200874309am

Sarah Jessica Parker and her amazing Philip Treacy hat made their debut in London yesterday.  As you can see in this photo, the duo were all the rage, signing autographs and posing for cameras.  Love it or hate it, the hat made a grand statement about embracing British fashion - as well as their love of the unusual photo-op (see Bodacious Book Launch, & Foodie Photo Call.

It also most likely gave Philip Treacy exposure like never before as those of us across the pond got a taste of his work.  Read more about SJP and her recent fashion statements on Bloomacious.com.

Glamorous Goo-Goo land

Nicole_richieWe posted a story this morning on our event planning blog about how baby showers have changed recently, drawing from stories that appeared over the weekend in the Los Angeles Times and The Capital Gazette.

The story in the Capital Gazette, an Annapolis, Maryland newspaper is of particular interest as it quotes the owners of Lil' Lamb as saying that our client Orbit Baby's stroller helped the business post a 25% sales gain over the past year.

Read our story, which details Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's Shower, here (image of the candy bar at the shower shown above).
