We love it when a celebrity publicly adores one of our client's products - we also are thrilled when editors and writers go on record as really loving a brand we represent.
So when Ciaran Blumenfeld, a writer who works her baby product reviews into a wide array of media named our client Sakura Bloom as one of her Top 10 Favorite Products of 2007 - we were really happy.
The list, which came out on MommiesWithStyle.com, on Friday include a range of baby products.
In her comments Ciaran writes:
"When it came to slinging my children prior to writing for Mommies With Style, I completely missed the boat. I only began slinging my then 2 year old son, in 2007. Oh how I regretted not starting sooner! Even more so after seeing the utterly beautiful silk ring slings created by Sakura Bloom. The colors! The textiles! This was not just babywearing. It was couture baby wearing. At first I was worried that the slings would not hold up well, but they wash up like a dream, getting softer each time. Slings like this are not a necessity perhaps, but they are a real treat that both mother and child will cherish. You'll want to wear your child in one of these every day. My one regret now? When my son got too large, I lent my sling to a neighbor. And she liked it so much she has not offered it back!"
We say, Rock on Ciaran!
Marcia Cross and Family have been on the move with their twin girls and their twin Orbit Baby Infant Systems.
Pictured here en route to a lovely tropical vacation destination, Marcia peers adoringly at her two babes.
Our client Orbit Baby's fantastic Infant System makes traveling either by car, train or air a snap with its innovative SmartHub docking technology.
For more hop over to BabyChic101 or FlyNet to see more images of Marcia Cross.
Marcia Cross and her adorable family visited Santa last week as reported by babychic101.
While St. Nick may journey in a sleigh drawn by 8 tiny reindeer, Marcia's cute twins enjoy a far smoother ride in their Orbit Infant Systems. Customized with neat Booyah Baby Stroller liners, the Orbit Baby system lets Marcia and husband Tom Mahoney go swiftly from car to stroller and back again without straining their backs getting the twins around.
And when the twins are tired of being photographed by their adoring public, the built-in Orbit paparazzi shields can come down, giving the babies the privacy they need.
When the twins get a little older, we think they'll enjoy the new Orbit Toddler Car Seat that's being launched in 2008. Stay tuned for more details!
We've known that our client Petunia Pickle Bottom is hot (haute too) for a long time.
The company's amazing collection of iconic diaper bags are legendary in fashion, accessory, and baby gear circles.
And now, hautemommstuff.com, an arbiter of all things "haute" has gone on the record...they think so too.
This week's featured designer is non other than Petunia's co-founder, DeNai Jones.
The article is a lovely overview of what makes DeNai such a creative force. Check out the feature at HauteMommaStuff.com along with a great gift list of must-haves (or just really-wants) for the holidays.
Just when we thought Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott would win the award for most sightings with their Orbit Baby Infant System, we keep seeing these great shots of Bridget Moynahan circulating on CelebrityBabyScoop.com and other celebrity sites.
As reported by CelebrityBabyScoop.com Bridget was snapped over the weekend while strolling in Southern California.
Ms. M looks fit and fabulous, and after all the cold weather and storms out here on the East Coast this past weekend, the fair weather in this shot makes me long for those wonderful mild winters in Los Angeles.
DeNai Jones co-created Petunia Pickle Bottom back in 1999 as way to give moms a high-functioning piece of fashion. She wanted to transcend the look of traditional diaper bags and in the process helped to revolutionize the way we currently look at baby gear.
Now with the creation of the new grab able, manageable, diaper bag clutches, she's done it again.
Petunia Pickle Bottom's two collections, Cake Cameo Clutch, and Cross Town Clutch, are truly a revolution in the notion of what makes a great diaper bag.
With both collections, each bag weighs just 4 lbs unloaded. Designed to easily hold a wallet, cell phone, keys, lipstick, snack for baby, wipes case, and two diapers.
While many moms are used to packing their diaper bags full, (and with Petunia's amazing group of Backpacks and Should Bags they certainly can if they need to) the Cross Town Clutch and Cameo Clutch give them new options. For running errands, where bringing the whole baby ensemble is not necessary, these two new bags give them a way to stay organized but not overloaded.
And in a day and age where the mantra is reduce-reuse-recycle, a philosophy of carrying less is certainly appealing to most parents.
Both the Cross Town Clutch and the Cameo Clutch feature interior pockets that have been well researched to provide the optimum in organization. They include a custom wipes case, and snap-in changing station that folds out when needed.
The Cross Town Clutch features Petunia Pickle Bottom's new glazed fabrics which are set off by adorable hand embroidered details. These measure just 12"x8"x4.5" and retail for around $68.
The Cake Cameo Clutch is noted for it's incredible European cut velvet that comes in rich combinations of blue, black, and raspberry set off by a cream background. These also measure 12"x8"x4.5" and retail for about $105.
Be sure to browse the photo albums to the right to see the entire Cross Town Clutch and Cake Cameo Clutch collections.

When New York Times Restaurant Critic Frank Bruni says he loves something it's a seminal moment.
Foodies throughout this country hang on every salacious vowel that he types out.
So when we read that he has a weakness for our client Illume Candle's Balsam & Cedar fragrance from the limited edition Winter Bliss Collection we were enthused to say the least.
As reported on Refinery 29 yesterday, and picked up by the Gothamist, Bruni says, "I've long been a sucker for overpriced candles, and I like Illume the best. This scent smells like the essence of Christmas. I bought it for the first time about a week ago and it hadn't been burning for an hour when I was back out the door to stock up on more. I'm always convinced that things I fall in love with will disappear when I least expect it. Better to stock up."
As soon as the "Hot For" story appeared, Bruni's loyal fans responded without delay. "A
food critic loving scented candles??" they exclaimed. Just goes with what we said in our post yesterday about the Winter Bliss Collection being the greatest for parties of all kinds. How could you not love something that gives out the gentle aroma of a Heavenly Valley ski lodge at Christmas?
Head over to Illumecandles.com to check out the storied candles before they disappear - as Bruni laments, they are a seasonal blend.
Bruni joins a well rounded list of celebs who are addicted to the essential oils blends of Illume Candles custom scents. Paris and Nicky Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Will Smith, Mary J. Blige, Jessica Simpson, and even California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger love Illume!
There’s nothing like candlelight to put guests at ease and really make a room festive. By mingling great candle color and style with a rich, warm fragrance, party planners can create an atmosphere for their guests that would be very difficult to achieve with light bulbs alone.
Start by taking a page from top lighting designers and plan your candle scheme to illuminate each room on three levels…high, medium, and low.
High candlelight can come from candelabras and sconces. Be mindful that even a small candle flame can create heat and soot on surfaces that are just two or three feet directly above them – so make sure you hang these fixtures at least three feet below
ceilings or beams. Antique stores are a mecca for gorgeous metal candelabras and sconces that can be used year round. Lanterns are another unique pick, and can be easily hung for parties using an “O” hook screwed into the ceiling and a few feet of hardware chain or wire (again don’t use anything flammable).
Naturally fireplace mantles are a great place to set out a vignette of smaller candles with seasonal decorations. Here, we’ve arranged a plaster snowman from Nicole Sayer with a metal dime-store tree. Three votives from Illume in Vanilla Amberwood, Cranberry Kir, and Cedar & Balsam join our little snowman to create the perfect balance and provide a pop of warm light that will illuminate the room on mid-level.
For lowlight, try placing a lantern or hurricane glass on a small stool to balance the look of a
smaller tree or tabletop display. The lantern will cast a soft up-light which is flattering to everyone.
Fragrance can either be overwhelming or just the right accent. Illume Candles' Winter Bliss Collection, created with natural essential oils and a soy/beeswax blend, give off a natural, sophisticated bouquet. The Winter Bliss collection offers a subtle version of the classic holiday scents of evergreen, berries, and spices. Great party candles from the collection include frosted glass jars, votives, and pillars.
Choose fragrances that will compliment the foods and beverages you’ll be serving. For example, Vanilla Amberwood is an excellent compliment for sweets and eggnog. Set a few votives on a silver footed platter near your desserts to give a lasting impression of comfort.
In the bar area, where cranberry martinis and mixed drinks are on the agenda, choose Cranberry Kir Filled Glass Jars to spike the air with a warm berry scent. The upbeat theme of these candles will coax guests into a playful party mood.
In the main room, set out a trio of Balsam & Cedar pillars to ramp up the smell of evergreens. Set them on candleholders, or arrange them on a favorite platter with small glass ornaments and a small garnish of greenery. Christmas trees often lose their scent too early, and these gorgeous green candles will help to revive that fresh fragrance.
They see them all...the gorgeous linens, adorable toys, and irresistible baby clothes.
So when the editors at Babble.com make their picks for the Best Holiday Gifts of 2007, you know that they know what they're talking about.
Tops on the List of Luxury Gifts is our client Petunia's amazing new Fawn Collection in Blooming Passion Flower. Chosen for its fine embroidery, super soft blanket, and exquisitely decorated edges - the crib set is one of two recent roll outs from Petunia's Fawn Collection. The other, the Imperial Fish set features bright goldfish set against chocolate linen. Gorgeous!
Also on the Babble Lux List is our client Sakura Bloom's amazing dupioni silk and linen
slings. Sakura Bloom offers a range of slings from the ultra chic Luxe Collection which is handmade by Laotian workers to their recently introduced Hana Collection. Chosen for its ease of use and durability, the Sakura Bloom collection is a stunner.
And in the category of Gifts for Expectant Parents, Petunia Pickle Bottom's dynamic new Scout Bag figures prominantly. The Babble editors love all the details of the bag, along with it's sporty, sexy look. This is a brilliant bag that comes in either leather or heathered felt.
